Meanwhile....
A final Picture of Agna
with the Battle - Hardened Water

Water that according
to the Scouts
probably cost him his life ...
and finally - we are off
to face the Blood Queen
and the Swarm
To the uplifting sound
of the Trumpet

(and NOT "remember you're a Womble")

Praise be to the young Bugler

A Last Goodbye to
Bevyn
Mother of the Stormwolves
and after the Wolves..

the factions roll on out

ready for battle
knowing many would not return
but full of heart ..
Queen Lix puts her best foot forward

And now - to a sad part for the author...
It is only after the battle - and the SuperScouts finding the Blades of Berkano
and little else except a few tracks..
that we are able to piece together the final moments
of Agna the Healer
a simple set of bushes near
the final glade
The tracks tell the story ...
after helping clear the last but one glade..
Agna seems to have returned to the far tree
to pickup the Battle Hardened Water..
to ensure that the warriors at the front
would die from battle - and not thirst...
There to be attacked by four of the Swarm..
Chased to the bushes - Agna died unseen
but with his weapons in his hand  ...
the tracks tell the story
So his Wolf  Cry of "Race up to Valhalla"
was finally satisfied...

and he was able to join the
other Water Carriers

I somehow think he would be happy
in their company..

"sing me no songs of Angels I pray...
for a Valkyrie found me in battle that day.."

Meanwhile the battle raged on ..

with poison gasses

  and the normal battle confusion..
  So much healing lost -
warriors are carried from the
battle field

  Factions fight side by side..
and so many fall to the enemy..
  Before the final withdrawal
  Returning - the Conquering Heroes
if Agna was about - he would have probably said

Meanwhile....

But it would be later that night at the Tyng
that Bothvar would lament the lost..
Thorgrim
Yorack
Amaranth
but three of those lost

Yes - mention was made of Agna's Passing

Snogg "the Wenches in Valhalla
will not be safe...

Bothvar " Yes - they will all be married by Friday!"

And representatives form al the factions
share the Grief and Joy of the Wolves

  As Vollsanger the Skald
(recently down from the Skadi Mountains)
joins the group to hear of the fallen

  and listens as Sijurd
of the Church of Hel
Reads the final
List of the Dead...

Book of the Dead  : WOLVES

  1. Yorak - 2nd in Command of Wolves
[Anima says: Started as an alchemist, but became less able in this field instead of more able, as time went on, despite my best efforts! After a few explosions, decided to leave this field of study behind him (Praise be to Odin). A warrior of great skill, and had just learned the arts of corporeal magic, using this to save my life in the battle that eventually took his life. A leader of men, brave in battle, quieter in camp - but you know what they say about the quiet ones! I shall miss Yorak, as no matter what he did, he did it for the Wolves. I am sure he is enjoying Valhalla, and deservedly so.]

  2. Thorgrim - 3rd in Command of Wolves
[Snogg says: "Honourable, courageous, feisty, true to his word and spirit, patient, wise, loud, the first in and the last out, showing us all the way to true greatness and what it means to be a Wolf.  Thorgrimm be praised!"

  3. Agna the Healer -
[Signy says: "The lecherous old bugger with a deafeningly loud voice in the Circle, a quick hand as a Corporealist, a bard and a kind and generous spirit with just a little touch of the Trickster about him."]

  4. Hengist - Brave warrior

  Sadly, Vollsanger the Skald
was not able to
record for you the details of the

laying in state of the bodies of the fallen,

the strange influence of Benedict the Grey
of the strange re-appearance of Thorgrimm though his body
lay but feet away

How Thorgrimm called Ull's Ring one last time
and entered with Raebeez
to be slain in a warrior fashion with his blade in his hand
to join the other fallen in Valhalla...

How the Valkyrie called upon the Wolves
and led the fallen to join the all-father..

Sadly - Vollsanger has much to learn of the factions
and even of his own people in the Wolves
as much has changed since he left to teach the Oral Lore
tp the children of the Villages high int he Skadi Mountains
but where he can - he will try to record what he can
of the histories of the free peoples of the Land.

Come and hear a song from the old Bard
perhaps toss him a copper - or buy him a drink to whet his whistle...
